Chef Michael’s is one of those projects that feels especially personal. Christian Ledwith is Matthew’s best friend, and Chef Michael’s is his dad’s restaurant, so we’ve known and loved this place long before we ever had the opportunity to work on the website. It’s also one of our favorite places to eat in Islamorada. We even celebrated our wedding with dinner at Chef Michael’s, making the restaurant a meaningful part of our own story. And yes, we still find ourselves craving the “Mixed Nuts,” their pistachio, cashew, and macadamia-crusted fish served with mango sauce.

We designed and developed a new, user-friendly website that captures the character of the restaurant, its family history, and the food that has made it an Islamorada favorite. We also handled all of the photography for the site, photographing both the restaurant and its incredible food to create an experience that feels as inviting online as it does in person.

This project was a true labor of love. It gave us the opportunity to combine design, photography, food, and storytelling while working with people who have been part of our lives for years. We’re incredibly proud to have played a small part in the continued story of Chef Michael’s and even happier that we get to keep coming back as guests.
